If you’ve been following this bloggity then you know that I will be going to Barbados with Charles for my winter vacation in January. Today marks 30 days until our flight leaves from JFK! I am beyond excited but until then, I have so much to do in what seems like soooo little time.
One of the items on my to-do list was/is to tone up and lose 10-15 pounds before the trip.
This “to-do” also applies to my dance goals as I prepare to re-enter the realm of dance.
You know … work the cellulite in my thighs up to my chest so I can have bigger boobage. I’m a 34B wishing she were a 34C ;(
So far, I’ve been been pretty consistent about getting up everyday for the past three weeks in the early morning to work out before I go to work. I swear I’ve been sweating like a maniac because the radiators in my apartment building are crazy hot! The Super said there is no way to regulate them … It’s either ON or OFF… meaning either I freeze to death or live in a sauna. Me and the roomies chose sauna … which means that I have my own hot yoga studio at home lol. I guess that’s one of the perks of living in a super old co-op building in New York …
I’ve been switching up my workouts each week so I don’t get bored. This past week I followed a workout plan from my favorite Youtube workout lady, Cassey Ho. (I just love saying “I’m bout to go Ho it up with Cassey” when talking to Charles on the phone.)
And with the airing of the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show this past Tuesday, it was only appropriate that I did Cassey’s “Victoria’s Secret Workout Series”. Lemme tell ya … These workouts are killer if you do them back to back!!! But with the aid of Cassey’s positive chatterbox and upbeat music selections, you’ll make it through… I hope. I still don’t know how she talks and works out at the same time without losing her breath.

Anywho, I’m 5 pounds down so far and have 10 more to go. But ultimately, who cares what I look like as long as I feel confident in my skin. So I may or may not lose the next 10 pounds but working out consistently has made me feel much better about rockin a bikini in Barbados. And that’s kinda all that matters … Naw Mean? As a gurl I know would say “Confidence is K.E.E.“! (shameless advertisement but I gotta support my dance peeps ;)
