On the agenda for the day was the Rocks Off Concert Cruise. I seriously don’t know how we found this event online but I’m sooooo glad we did! For $25: We took a 3 hour boat ride on the Hudson River with views of the NYC skyline and Statue of Liberty. On top of that, the concert cruise had a reggae band lined up with Caribbean food and $5 beers!!! Charles and I love reggae music so this was an added bonus.
The band, Cannibus Cup Band, was liiiiiiiive. I mean … A reggae violinist?!?!?! I had never seen one in action before until this cruise. The deck areas had speakers set up so we could jam to the music outside as well. Overall, we got what we paid for which I think was a damn good deal considering the fact that we drank down two bottles of “soda” before we got to the dock area… So the beer expense on the boat was minimal. You know… Pre-gaming at its finest. I guess college does teach you a thing or two about how to make it in life.
Despite the chilly and windy spring weather in NYC, the cruise’s laid back vibe and atmosphere took us back to warmer memories of our trip to Barbados. But in between reminiscing about our past adventures… We also talked strategy for our future shenanigans. We’re always doing that … Making plans. All while leaving room for the possibility that anything can happen.
Our Motto: Work Hard, Play Hard. A Lifestyle Is What You Pay For … A Life Is What Pays You. And we do our best to keep the balance :)
