Actually .. that’s just me falling towards the ground after jumping off a plane …
Last summer in July, me and my girlfriends, Anna and Lmya, found an awesome deal on Groupon to skydive for half the price in the boonies of Virginia. To this day this is the craziest thing I’ve done ever!!! Why did I do it??? Because I’m scared of heights … So I figure the best way to conquer your fears is to meet them straight on …

I didn’t pay the extra $100 to have my jump recorded on video but since I went with a group of friends, we took turns taking pictures of each others’ landings … As I reminisce about this jump, I remember when my skydive partner/instructor opened the door of the little plane we were flying on. We were flying through the clouds and all I could think of was “If I die on this jump, I really hope my family will remember to cremate my body because I’m claustrophobic and wouldn’t want to subject my corpse to the close confines of a coffin… Esp. if I came back to life.”
After jumping off the plane, I had to focus on breathing since the air was pounding at my face as we raced to the ground. Once the parachute opened and I knew I was safe, I felt like I could conquer the world. It’s an out of body experience that made me appreciate living in the moment. It’s probably because of this jump that I found the courage to move out of my dad’s place and make my way to New York for a new job last September.

Jumping out of a plane gave my cajones… Big cajones ..
If I could, I would do it all over again and this time pay the $100 to have it recorded… Maybe one day in the future.
What’s the craziest thing you’ve ever done???
