I’ve found that whenever we have my little sister, Gigi, over, it’s best if we eat meals that are interactive a.k.a. food that she can play with.
Most times, that usually means tacos.
She loves putting whatever toppings she wants on on her tacos and it’s great for us because it’s such a simple meal to whip together within 30 minutes.
Slicing up some grilled chicken chicken courtesy of our George Foreman grill.
Table spread full of taco sides.
Quick prayers and we were finally ready to eat.
Charles showing Gigi how he puts his taco together.
We usually eat our tortillas regular but on this particular day, we decided to quickly fry them for a tostada effect. It was our first time ever doing something like this so we (ahem, Charles) accidentally over cooked the tortillas but thankfully, they were still edible.
Gigi doing her thing.
I asked her, “Does your taco taste alright?” She responded with “Cowabunga” lol.
My taco.
^^ Typical. Whenever I would remind her to eat with her mouth closed, she would do this. She’s at that age where she loves to do the opposite of what you say haha.
Helping me put the dishes in the dishwasher and dancing through the task.
And so concludes a look into a pretty basic dinner night in our black and yellow home. And when I say “basic”, I mean it in the best way possible because little moments are just as life happening as big, momentous moments.
With that said, I wish you a Happy Friday! May your weekend be filled with happy moments with the people you love and most importantly, yummy food!
