We have officially entered the 2 month mark of “stay at home orders” for Virginia. But while most of the state is embarking on Phase 1 of re-opening up as of last Friday, the Northern Virginia area is delayed until May 28th since it’s much more densely populated.
I mentioned in this post, that for the past year, I’ve been giving Charles shape ups. The “normal pre-pandemic routine” is he’ll go to his barber for a full cut, the next month – I’ll give him a shape up whenever he requests to extend the cut, and then he’ll go to his barber the following month. It’s a cost savings approach that’s also turned into a bonding routine.
Since staying home, I’ve given him one shape up so far and, today, he’s schedule an appointment for another one but with a few “upgrades”.

^^ The “hair catch all” apron he ordered online has been super clutch. Not one piece of hair to sweep up after the shape up was all said and done.

By “upgrades” I mean… This evening, Charles is having me give him a shape up and thennnn he’s gonna pick his hair out and have me shave “no more than one inch off top of my hair” in his words. He also got an attachment for his clipper and wants me to try and give him a little fade in the back where his neck meets his hair.
Gah… Let’s hope I don’t fudge things up.
