This past Friday was a 2 for 1 kind of graduation day… Starting with Charles’s graduation ceremony in the morning.

Afterwards, we stopped by T.G.I. Friday’s for lunch and then, bellies full, we made our way back to campus for my graduation ceremony.

After all was said and done, Charles and I made our way home to change into more comfy clothes for the evening. This is when we realized that we didn’t have any pictures of the both of us in our cap & gowns and so we had an impromptu photo session in front of our apartment building’s rose bush.
Shoutout to my bro, Kris, who took all the photos in today’s post on his iPhone 7 Plus using the “portrait” setting! I thought photos came out really great. (so great that I’m seriously considering upgrading to the 7 plus myself lol)

^^ Getting this one framed… I promise Charles is smiling on the inside lol.
Everyone has been asking me and Charles if we plan to continue our education in pursuit of a Ph.D. or Doctorate… And while there is interest, we plan to take a break from school for a few years (and, cough cough, pop out a baby or two) before we dive back into the world of academia.
Thank you so much for your words of support and felicitations on my last post and on instagram over the weekend! As the saying goes, it takes a village and Charles and I wouldn’t be where we are without the support of our family, friends and yes, you, my dear blog readers buddies to sustain and encourage us in moments when the “going got tough” and we felt like giving up. Thank you, thank you, THANK YOU!
