This year marked the first time Charles and I hosted our family for Christmas Eve, allowing everyone to sleep in the next morning and enjoy a super relaxing Christmas Day at their respective homes. A new tradition that everyone was in agreement should continue.
Christmas Day, we had leftovers for breakfast and didn’t open presents until around 3pm (my Ma really took advantage of sleeping in to the point that we finally had to wake her up ourselves). Beau found more enjoyment playing with the boxes his gifts came in and spent most of the day wobble walking around our condo pulling open all the cabinet doors we have yet to put child locks on.
For dinner, we ordered take-out from Rabieng, a local Thai restaurant we’re fans of and the foodie spread did not disappoint – high praise considering my Ma and bro, Kris, are both very picky about authentic flavors when it comes to Southeast Asian cuisine.
I personally never *ever* imagined Charles and I falling into the trend of matching family pjs for the holidays. But my Ma had other plans… gifting us with pre-washed pajama sets (so I had no excuse for pushback) and her phone camera ready to take all the photos to her heart’s content. So here we are in all out matching pj glory.
To be objectively fair, I must confess the pjs were pretty darn comfy and cozy and Beau looked super cute in his lil onesie. But next year, I think I’ll find us all matching *solid color* sweatsuit sets to wear instead so we can get more than one use out of the fits.
Until next post.
