It’s been a couple years since the DMV has gotten more than a couple inches of snow. But the meteorologists predicted 10-12 inches of snow yesterday and the county school system all decided to close making today the first official snow day of 2025. Unfortunately, this also meant the boys’ daycare was closed which meant my planned ‘day off from work for creativity’ turned into full on mommy duty day. C’est la vie.
We spent the morning watching the snow fall down and then got the boys outside after lunch to help clean snow off the cars and I snapped a couple photos. Not the self-portrait photos I was hoping to take… But, these days, a little bit of something creatively inclined is better than nothing. I’m working on getting back into the practice of picking my camera up everyday so it all counts towards the habit building.
Squeezing out this post while the boys nap and trusty Trader Joe’s orange chicken is baking in the oven has got me feeling extra multitask terrific today. Hoping your week is off to a great start!
